Polterghost have announced details of the release of their debut single. Beast will be released on Hate Hate Hate on Monday 9th September.
Available on limited 7” and download, it also features the AA-side Ordinary. Both tracks were recorded at Sound Savers Studios in Hackney.
‘Beast’, recorded live on a shoestring budget, is testament to the band’s vehement no-frills approach to production. It’s a philosophy that echoes the lo-fi analogue fetish of their heroes Guided by Voices and Sebadoh, and here Polterghost channel that same guitar-driven sense of fun and abandonment.
