American indie pop rock singer-songwriter Alex Winston has announced she will be joining The Naked and Famous on their forthcoming UK tour. Alex Winston is definitely one to watch this year as she looks set to break into the UK music scene with her own brand of bubbly indie pop that makes her oh so loveable. She released a brilliant ep in 2010 called ‘The Basement Covers EP’ which included some amazing covers of tracks such as Mumford and Sons ‘The Cave’ and Jack Peñate’s ‘Pull My Heart Away’. Alex is set to release another EP ‘Velvet Elvis’ on September 12th.
I for one was terribly excited to hear Alex is supporting The Naked and Famous after I purchased my ticket to see them at Norwich Waterfront a few months ago, knowing full well their support acts would be more than up to scratch.
