A whole four months after The 1975 brought ‘Sex’ to our ears, the single ‘chocolate’ was released on the Dirty Hit label. It was a long wait but one that was definitely worth it. What we received was a catchy up beat song to satisfyingly nod your head to. It begins and ends in exactly the same way making it perfect to put on repeat, sounding like one endlessly looping and unchanging tune. Kind of how the world might feel if you were a heroine addict. You might think this is a bad thing but really it’s quite the opposite. The simple guitar riff and steady rhythm makes for an incredibly amiable tune. And despite the fact we don’t know what the hell the lead singer Matthew Healy is on about we’re definitely singing along.
