Disclosure feat. London Grammar – Help Me Lose My Mind (Paul Woolford Remix)
So this week I discovered that a DJ I love, Paul Woolford, has managed to get his musical mits on Disclosure’s ‘Help Me Lose My Mind’ featuring London Grammar and the result is so SO good. Paul’s summer smash ‘Untitled’ pretty much ruled my iPod and so I’m chuffed this tune is an absolute corker too. Paul has managed to transform Disclosure’s chilled, soulful melody into an amazing up tempo house track, full to the brim with piano instrumentals. J’adore ça!
Chi Thanh – Let’s Play (Mat Joe Remix)
Continuing on the remix front, track two is Mat Joe’s remix of Chi Thanh ‘Let’s Play’, released by OFF Recordings on the 24th September. Now if you’re a fan of learning the lyrics to songs then these should be pretty easy to remember (the clue is in the title). The vocals are fused with a deep beat & bass combo that creates a club orientated feel.
Wankelmut feat. Emma Louise – My Head is a Jungle (Marc Kitchen Remix)
Shall I throw in one more remix for good measure? I think I shall, and it has to be a tune by champion of the remix Marc Kitchen and his take on ‘My Head is a Jungle’ featuring Emma Louise. This infectious track has just been released this month by Positiva, however it first debuted on Pete Tong’s Radio 1 show way back in February this year. Have a listen and you’ll find Emma’s hypnotic vocals overlapped with a heavy piano undertone.
