Luke Sital-Singh is an unsigned singer-songwriter from London, and his melancholic songs are well worth a listen if you’ve not got involved already (not recommended if you’re a bit down though, DYC won’t be responsible for any weeping messes. Man up).
The visual spectacular for ‘Fail For You’ features Luke, a guitar, and a lot of silhouette. Aesthetically beautiful (though bordering on the hipster side), Joseph Rodrigues Marsh’s simple video accompanies the singer-song writer’s debut single pretty flipping perfectly. The single location motif shows Luke against a backdrop of dusk till dawn. As the sun rises and lens flare hits the 24-year-old’s Raybans, the focus is that lovely voice. While multi-layered vibrato brings a certain Mr Vernon to mind, this isn’t a Bon Iver rip off (although with his cover of Blood Bank, parallels will be drawn). Luke’s got his own sound, as the Fail For You EP demonstrates rather nicely.
‘Fail For You’ is available right now on iTunes, and Luke’s supporting Fossil Collective in October tour and The Staves in November. He is also playing Gathering Festival alongside a plethora of other amazing acts. As a music fan, it’s fundamental you attend at least one of these.
