Very few bands have experienced the kind of meteoric rise that Parquet Courts have had this year. Following the re-release of debut album Light Up Gold in January, the punk quartet have become Brooklyn’s hottest commodity. And now, with the release follow up EP Tally All That You Broke, Parquet Courts have cemented their reputation as one of the breakthrough acts of 2013.
Not content with just putting out the new EP, Parkay Quarts have also released a video for lead single ‘You’ve Got Me Wonderin’ Now’.
Much like the band themselves, this video is refreshing in it’s simplicity. Very rarely have I ever been entertained by a lyric video (except maybe this one for all the wrong reasons) but this bouncy Pac-Man ghost injects enough charm and fun to make this a rather enjoyable little video.
