Adam Barnes, the beautiful bearded singer/songwriter from Oxfordshire is soon to embark on his autumn UK tour, reaching the far corners of England, starting out in Bath on the 13th September and finishing in Manchester on the 7th October.
Barnes is bringing back the true roots of folk music, with his charming acoustic tones and piercing fresh vocals, his music can be compared to the likes of William Fitzsimmons and James Vincent McMorrow. This young Oxfordshire lad gained experience whilst gigging in the alternative folk band, Motion In Colour, but left to pursue his own solo career. Since then he has been singed to LAB Records who re-released his first EP, Blisters. The prominent track on his EP has to be ‘Come Undone’ after only the first listen it is hard not to be hooked on his powerful raw vocals and lyrics which cannot help but tug on your heartstrings. He is, the king of easy listening with ‘Old Shoes’ being a prime example of this. Barnes manages to balance a sense of youthful simplicity and with a mature sound as he displays the skills of a seasoned performer. If the opportunity arises get yourself down to one of his gigs, but just be warned, his music is addictive and you will, I’m afraid, begin to crave more.
