Via the go-to music network that is Soundcloud, Whitley Bay based band Lisbon have unveiled a brand new track. The track labelled ‘Native’ enables a quick look into the bands upcoming EP titled Life Is Good which is due for release at the end of October. It delivers the band’s alt-pop sound, mixing plucky guitars and electronic beats over lead singer Matthew Varty’s catchy chorus as he calls out ‘I’m not your native/Don’t complicate it.’
The EP is also set to feature the four-piece’s latest track ‘Rio’ which is released as a single on the 29th of this month. The single evokes the sense of youthful vigour and supplies a summery feel that will be well needed in the coming months. With a support slot booked for Chloe Howl’s Scala show and a main support gig for Eliza & the Bear’s UK tour, Lisbon are quickly to establishing themselves as a band who will join the rise of alt-pop with the likes of Two Door Cinema Club and Catfish and The Bottlemen.
If you are in the area, get down to Newcastle’s Riverside on the 25th of October to celebrate the EP release.
